i have a 2001 audi a4 1.8t and the turbo is obviously blown two different garages estimated around 1,000 bucks for a new one. there has to be cheaper aftermarket turbos that are better than the oem they are offering me. where can i get a pretty good aftermarket one for under 500 bucks?

 

you can get an aftermarket one no problem for 5 or 600. BUT, youll be buying another one in no time flat. if you need a new turbo, buy used, and have yours rebuilt at a reputable shop. or just have yours rebuilt.
you have no idea how wrong you are. the ONLY good k03 turbos are borg warner genuine. imagine buying your girlfriend a cubic zirconia engagement ring. a first, things go well. but when she notices its fake, you are in for a lot of trouble. so i will say this- buying an aftermarket turbo is the same as giving your girlfriend a fake ring. you might save money in the short run, but you will lose more than a real diamond ring cost in the long run considering how much more youll have to invest in a new girlfriend/s. same damn thing when buying a aftermarket chineese piece of **** turbo
