I need my car repainted. im not doing anything crazy just black with some flakes (my car is already black, but theres alot of swirls and scratches). going to maaco and hopefully saving money. so i figured if im going to paint it, i might as well throw a body kit on too. I like the RS4 front bumper, but the rear lip not so much. any suggestions would be appreciated...also, if any of you have a body kit on your car, please send pics so i can see what your talking about thanks

 

go with the OEM S4 bumper side skirts and paint your rear one it will look nice and clean besides you can modify the S4 bumper into a RS4 looks good if done right

 

well regarding brands, OEM is way too expensive...i was thinking like extreme dimensions or vision auto. you can get a whole kit for less than $1000...but with the rear bumper situation, i would like to do a quad tipped custom exhaust, and the stock bumper doesnt accept that. are there any bumpers besides the rs4 that accepts dual sided exhaust?

 

i've yet to hear anything good about maaco after a year of people's car being painted. i wouldn't cheap out on paint. also you could probably get the swirls out by high speed buffing it.

 

yea i know that about maaco, but im only 17 and money is hard to come by...my dad used to buy and sell cars and he would go to maaco and for 300 bucks he would get his cars painted. he said they looked awesome but after a year or so they started to go. my car will probably be gone after a year or so anyway so im not too worried about that.

 

If you like the RS4 look, check out the RSR body kit on LLtek.com 's website. There are a few different rear looks, so you can decide what you want from there. Good luck, although I wouldn't put a body kit on a car that I would be driving for less than a year.
