I recently purchased a 98 A4 and am very pleased with the car. Most of the work that it needed is taken care of, but there is still one small problem I am having to which I am unable to find an answer, so I'm hoping you all can help. I purchased a licence plate frame and front plate from the dealership when we were getting a duplicate key made and they look fantastic. The problem however, is that the previous owner seems to have somehow lost the original mounting bolts and replaced them with ones that have a different head shape and length that do not work with the factory mounting cushions that came with the plates. I need to know the size and shape of the bolts that were standard for this car. A very odd question I'm sure, but any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
