i honestly dont think the turbo is bad, it doesnt whine or smoke and it still sounds great. i think i will replace the wastegate lines etc and look for broken hoses, fully disconnect the battery and reset the system, and check all turbo linkage etc. it hasnt been boosting for like four months. i hardly even knew what my GIAC feels like...

 

Sounds like a problem with the wastegate to me. Check it out. Also check the hot side of the turbo for a damage. Also check the compressor wheel and shaft.
