boost pressure
Hey guys i got a 2000 A4 1.8t quattro and ive done research and the stock boost is around 8psi but i recently installed a boost gauge and it is reading around 12 psi. I have tested this with another gauge and i get the same reading. As far as i can tell there is no aftermarket parts other than stuff ive done and that has nothing to do with power. Is there any way i can tell if its been tuned or not? Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks. Ive never really worked with vag-com. Ive only worked with obd II. How will i be able to see if it has been altered?
That's a good question. I'm also more familiar with OBDII, but I've played with VAG COM quite a bit also.
In your situation, I would look for fuel delivery and timing changes. The boost specs are in there somewhere also, but I don't know exactly where. If you can find advanced timing and increased fuel delivery, then you can be pretty sure it's been tuned.
LMK how it goes.
