Bought my first Audi A4 this past weekend, Pics!
This past weekend I traded my 87 Supra for a 1999.5 1.8T Quattro Tiptronic Sport Package. This will be my first Audi. Anyone here have any suggestions as for what to expect out of it? I’m not sure what the exterior color is called but it’s almost Titanium like. Anyway its bone stock except for a head unit. Has 77k miles on the clock, new timing belt, tie rods, all new tires and brakes. I needed a more practical car for college so this should work and its so nice to drive. I have already debadged back. Anyone else here have one of these? On to the pics...

looks really nice. good buy.
I have the same car except different color (silver) and the FWD not quattro.
I'm at 102K miles and it still runs great!
Some of your common problems were fixed, as you stated that you have new timing belt, tie rods, and brakes
The 1.8T usually sucks a little more oil, so make sure you keep up on your changes. Your also going to need to make sure you buy the BIGGER oil filter when you do an oil change due to the added need from the turbo.
Other problems might be your brake/abs lights coming on... problem your abs module... search for abs module problem when that happens.
Otherwise welcome to the world of AUDI!

there's a huge problem with your car. it doesn't have a shifter the you can unscrew, a third pedal and your brake pedal is too large. other wise great trade. it won't be as tunable as the supra or as fast but i'd say it's much more practical.

I do like the color alot. And yes I am very happy with it, I just really love the way it drives, especially coming from an older car. Honestly Id have to say my favorite thing abou th car right now is the steering and the A/C. My supra didnt have A/C unfortunately. Id like to get a chip as well, from my browsing around these boards I havent really seen a post that strongly reccommends once specific chip for a 99.5 Tiptronic with DBW. Could someone give me a reccomendation or simply point me in the right direction? Thanks.
what year supra did you have? my dad had a 87, thats what i learned to drive in haha.. as for the chip, i recommend GIAC. thats what i have on my 99.5 and i'm very happy. theres a bunch of posts at the top of the forum, like "newbies guide" and stuff like that, deff read them, they'll give you a bunch of info. for you, you'll also have to get a tip chip. i see your in maryland, i went to AWE tuning to get my chip done, it's a little north west of philly im pretty sure.its a great place with great people.
but read those newbie posts and you can search for any questions you have, most likely somebody will have had the same question.

As for my previous Supra, it was an 87 with a swpped 1JZ engine. Had a Garrett GT40 turbo, made roughly 500 rwhp.
Heres the link to where I sold the car, and picked up the Audi.
