Brake light switch

Question Brake light switch

Driving without brake lights and no one has the switch in stock. Would the same switch from a Passat of the same year fit my car?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, assuming the passat is basically the same thing...

yes it would. exactly what i did. just make sure it's physically the same one. same color too because one's a clutch switch and the other is a brake switch. one's black and one's white. i forget which one's which but as long as you match them up you're golden

Similar problem 04 Cabbie, my brake light stays on. How do you remove panel under dash to access brake switch. I purchased replacement switch at Advance Auto Parts.
