I am hoping the drillings will allow the pads to push the water out the radial rotor vents so that my braking will be up to par. It's only a theory on why it's happening, but nothing else makes sense to explain it, and that should be a sure-fire way to fix the problem. Once they're on and not sitting in my kitchen anymore, I'll let you know.

Hey Devil, I have the same thing. Did slotted/drilled rotors make a difference? This only happens when really wet, and yes feels like they won't bite for the first bit... very unsettling..

lol you found a good one there flash, old thread is old.

I have slotted A8/TT brakes and they're very very good, even in the rain.

Since this has been bumped, I also like to throw in changing your brake fluid makes a huge difference. Think mine had to be a good 10-15 years old with 120k miles before I flushed the whole system. Car doesn't feel dangerous anymore but still much larger stopping distance than the TT with wilwoods.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking Hawk HPS for sure, not sure on rotors... was thinking brembo blanks, but the floaty non-braking feeling makes me think I should look at something slotted.... Any recommendations on rotor?
