Smile Brand new to audi's

Hello all, my name is Owen Frederick. Just this past monday I bought my first Audi. Previoulsy, I owned a jeep wrangler for 3 years, but I needed a vehicle that was a little kinder on the road and on the gas mileage. So, I bought a 2001 Audi a4, 1.8L turbo, quatro, sports package. I am already in love! For now, I am looking to do a few small things such as tinted windows and a cold air intake for better mpgs and hp. Any advice on the cold air would be greatly appreciated since I am truly a newbie! Thanks to anyone willing to give advice.

Welcome to AF! You Audi is a better offroad machine than a wrangler any day!

As far as cold air goes the stock airbox gets more than enough airflow for a stock car. The only real reason some people mod the boxes or go to a cone filter is for hearing the turbo spool.

Read the "A4 noobie guide" and that will answer a lot of your questions. Also read the other links in there, lots of good info for someone new to Audi!

Don, thanks for giving him a proper response instead of flaming him and bitching him out for not searching and this and that.

Owen, welcome to the AF's, stick around, you'll like it.
