You can always source a ABA crank for $150-250 and get some scat or IE rods for $320-350 and then some JE, Wiseco, Supertech, etc pistons for ~$600. The rebuild kit full of gaskets, NA 20v head gasket, and new bearings in another $300 or so.

 

^^^where do you do your shopping? Not saying you're lying just that the cheapest JE Pistons I've seen were $900. I saw that $10,000 AEB 2.0 price somewhere on the Zine and figured it was double what it should be but I didn't expect for the price of some of the guts to be that cheap.

 

I got my crank (06A block so its a AEG) for $200 from a local, got wiseco pistons from pagparts for $625 i believe, i dont remember, but they also are skirt coated, and my rods from qedpower.com for $350. qedpower.com also has supertech pistons that he has made in bulk so they are even cheaper but only come in 9:1 c/r.
