With experence in a couple different car brands (4 Hondas/1 nissan/1 Mazda/1 Hyundai and a Buick Skylark as my first car!) and now the 2000.5 Audi 2.8 quattro, I would say buying any car over 200k has its risks. Everyone talks about how Honda/Toyota will last forever but really its not the truth. They are awesome cars but they break and need parts just like any other car. It really comes down to taking care of your car and not driving crazy all the time. Trust me... My first honda knows what will happen when you drive it like a race car!
You seem like you know what your talking about with B5's so I would say buy it...

So I'm meeting him today to check out the car... Not gonna buy it today though I'm just going to look at it thoroughly, test drive, etc. Tomorrow I'll go to his house with my dad and he'll check it since he has expertise...

WOW.... I just got back from looking at the car, the pictures didn't lie and neither did the owner, it is immaculate... I looked in the engine compartment, all over the cabin, in the truck and spare wheel well, and under the car at all four corners. It all looks great! It drives a million times better than my moms 12v without sport package as well!!!
