As the title states, I have a 1998 A4 Quattro 2.8L

My A/C is making a god awful whining noise and keeps getting worse every month. The A/C works greats and blows super cold air. I want to sell my car, but as we all know, if it sounds or looks bad, nobody will want to buy it even if you tell them why/what is wrong with it. I dont really feel like spending $300-400 on a new A/C compressor because for 1) dont have the money and 2) im selling the car. Is there a way to route the serpentine belt to cancel out the A/C or no? Or maybe someone knows where i can get a compressor cheap?
