im thinking most of you will call me stupid or crazy but what do you guys think about makeing a custom air intake out of pvc pipeing and of course ill paint it prolly flat black but it was just a crazy idea my brother and i thought of.

well, i guess its not really a bad idea. just something to know, without a huge power increase through chipping or turbo upgrade (assuming u have a 1.8t) the stock intake is fine and u will not see a power increase through a custom intake.

Yeah i know i have heard that from people the reason im doing it is because i want to be able to say i made a custom intake and for maybe a better sound under the hood not really lookin for performance

just buy some pre bent aluminum piping and some silicone couplers and have a field day!

+1 quattro, thats why i asked about the pvc. I feel like some pre-bent aluminum would be way easier than pvc. And it'd look way better too.
