Default cam tensioner

Hi, all,
I was wondering if anybody knows whether the cam tensioner from a 2000 audi a4 1.8 will fit a 2001 audi a4 quattro 1.8t. Thanks.

You have to go by engine code, often there isn't compatibility between them for parts like this. 2000 1.8T is ATW and I believe 2001 is AWM (which has variable valve timing). If the engine codes are the same, then you can use the 2000's cam chain tensioner.

Metalman is right, the AEB/ATW engine series use the same tensioner between 00-01 engines, and the AWM uses the same one between 00-01 engines. There are two different part numbers, and the question is which engine code are you using for the donor part, and what is the engine code on the engine that needs the part.
