Don't yank it by the keys, use a pick and grab a hold of inside the tape deck. If you dont have a pick its gonna be tough to get out.

I got a couple fingers in my tape deck and yanked it out by hand (with all four keys in). It took a little force at first, but once it started out, it went quite easily.

definitely don't pull on the keys until you are ready to take them out

Which way do you point the pick? Left right up or down?

Doesn't really matter, i would look in the tape deck with a light and see if you can hook the pick on a little metal tab. If you pull on the faceplate itself your guaranteed to pull the faceplate off, however that would just give you a better look it LOL.

You think thats tough to get out, try getting a concert radio out of a TT. I swear they cement those in.

Well I hate to admit it but my stereo's making me look pathetic, I've got the pick in the tape deck and was really pulling that thing and i slipped and took a chip out of the lower part of the tape deck (right below where it says symphony) which isnt helping the frustration at all, and i cant even seem to get the faceplate off..am I missing something here?

You do have all four keys inserted into the radio while your pulling correct?

Then you're f*&()* LOL. The only other thing you can try is to pry a couple screwdrivers on either side of the radio to get a gap between the radio and the center console, then use the pick to wiggle it out. You can also have a friend help you with the small screwdrivers to add to the prying effect. Other than that i can't give you any further advice.
