Car running slow?
I just bought my first Audi back in march, upgraded from a jetta mk3. It is noticeably quicker than my old 2.0 but I tested it out the other day and i believe something is wrong with it. I'm making around a 13.4ish 0-60 time which is way out of the range it should be. I just got it chipped with the apr 93 tune in may and i feel like it should be running around 7.5-8 with the chip. Any thoughts about what it could be? My Maf reading is 4.2g/s at idle in park, at idle in drive it is at 6.4g/s could it be my Maf?
I highly doubt you're going to see 7.5 with just a chip, the fastest I have done is 6.8 in perfect conditions with all the stuff I have done to mine. I have never had my car stock but with just the chip and exhaust i was doing low-mid 9s so I would say 13.4 is high. Year/tranny type?
It is a 2000, with the tip transmission, and it doesn't matter if it is in tip mode or just in standard drive. I'm not expecting it to be super fast i know it is a heavy car, but I would like to get it running correctly and at the right speed. Thanks for the reply. I'm personally thinking its either a boost leak or bad Maf sensor. My boost gause reads that its spiking at 20ish psi so i know it isn't the turbo.
I'm running stock k03 with the APR flash for 93 octane, it spikes at about 20psi but that is like going full throttle. not very often does that happen, I do have quattro, and it seems to drive fine just slower than it should be. shifts perfectly normal not rough, idle seems to be fine running right around high 800's unless cold start and it is about 1100 rpm.
Could be boost leaks or just heat soak. Your intercooler can get overwhelmed very quickly if you do back to back runs. At higher boost that tiny turbo is really working thus heating up the air and the small intercooler can't cool the intake charge very much once it starts to get hot (heat soaks). Once this happens your intake temps rise and you make less power and the ECU will pull timing to keep things from getting too hot and blowing up. This will make the car feel slower.

Car is now running only about 6psi, at "full boost". I took off the Maf sensor and ran it a bit and did a 0-60 without just to see if it was it, but that made my 0-60 drop to 18 secs. So i dont think my maf is messed up. any ideas by anyone else, i just got a kit for doing boost leak and i will be doing it once it arrives.
I'm using the Torque pro app on my phone with OBD sensor and it has boost gauge on it that it gets the information through the ecu. I think when i said it was running 20psi, my lil bro misread it and saw it on 20 vacumm and thought it was psi..
