one or more of your axles have popped out of it's seat. you gotta put it back in and tighten it up. stop trying to drive your car or you will kill the clutch

i havent tried to drive it but if it was the axle would the car go into gear without the pressing of the clutch without grinding or some kind of noise?

maybe, maybe not. If the axel isn't turning the wheels, then there is no load on the drive train allowing it to engage with minimal effort... all the power is going to the wheel with the least resistance, being the one that spins freely...

so the car is on and you can put it in gear without stepping on the clutch? you have some serious problems. does you pedal feel different? if not i think you have just busted the tranny. and for you to bust an audi 5 speed tranny, you have been awarded the armour peircing bullet award because those trannies only really go bad if you have a builted engine and you race with it. good thing these trannies can be found all over so make sure you get the right tranny code from yours and match it up with another one from somebody else's

if it was the tranny wouldnt it make noise and i was at low rpms when this issue occured..the car is pretty much acting as if i had the clutch pedal pressed down even when i dont if that helps

right i understand what you're saying. that's why i asked if the pedal felt different. does the shifter feel different too? if it was the axle, your car would try to move forward when you engage the clutch but it won't move. if you can put the car into gear when it's on without touching the clutch pedal, your problem is pretty serious. also it sounds like your clutch is disengaged all the time. pm auditech79 if you want an answer from a real tech. he's the best. good luck man

yea but if the clutch is just staying disengaged wouldnt that be just clutch or pressure plate related not tranny
