alright so i parked my car at my gf for literally ten minutes, i come back and no start...

its happen to me once before but it started up the next day.

im getting no crank at all. everything lights up like normal and when i go to start nothing.

what could it be?

 

ignition switch?

 

maybe but i just pulled my cam position sensor and it looks weird. i'll upload a pic now.

 

if it's the sensor, you'll def get a code

 

oh well my car didnt have any cels when it was running.

 

maybe that was a sign that you needed to stay at your girlfriends haha

 

This happended to me once. No CEL's, and all electrical was working. I wasnt hearing the car trying to crank or anything. Left my car at work and came back the next day, and it started with no problems. I decided to get CAA (or AAA for you Americans =P )

 

My Ignition Control Module went out in April. I parked the car (running like a top) and ten minutes later it started up sounding like a subaru running on 3 cylinders. (Buddabuddabuddabudda), expelling a lot of emissions and feeling rough. CEL blinking. It was a hard start too. Limped it home and then couldnt get it to start again. Just the starter running. After a long *** goose chase (no CEL for ICM specifically) I finally found the error when a local audi guy let me swap in his for a second. The part is under $100 IIRC, and you can swap one from a working car! I dunno if this is your problem, but couldnt hurt to check.

 

im gonna look into that icm cuz i have to get my car running again its my daily. and VGO the same exact thing is whats going on with mine but this is the second time it happens. its making me go crazy cuz i have no clue whats going.

 

alright so i changed my ignition switch and still nothing.

could the cam position sensor keep the car from starting?
