Hello everyone! :-)
Here is my problem. A few days ago my car wouldn't start, it would turn but no started.... I tried a few times and finally did started; however it showed me a check engine light, after that I just unplugged the battery for a few seconds then plugged it back in; as result the check engine light was gone. I was happy for a few days, but now the car doesn't start it does after a few tries( it just cranks). The check engine light is back again.

So today I'll have it scanned on Autozone to see what codes shows.
I was wondering if you guys knew about this problem and could help me to diagnostic it?

I read that it Could be a camshaft sensor!?
I already checked the spark plugs, battery and they seem ok.
Should I check anything else?

It's an A4 2.8 1996

P1340 definition ckp/cmp sensor signals out of sequence

explanation
timing belt jumped

probable causes

1-Failed cmp or ckp sensor
2-Poor electrical connection



P1392 definition Cmp sensor bank 2 open circuit/short to positive

explanation
open or short circuit codition

probable cause

1- Failed CMP sensor
