Default Carbon Fiber Hood Mounting

So I bought a carbon fiber hood for my 98 a4 1.8T but i can't seem to figure out how to mount it. The original latch is too high and it leaves a 1/2" gap in the front. The latch isn't exactly easy to get to and I'm confused about where the hood pins would go?

Any suggestions?

You may have to adjust the latch downward to pull the hood flush. For the pins, line up a mounting location on the upper crossmember, and drill the hood to allow the pins to come through. If you're unsure or squeamish about this, pay a body shop. Don't risk frigging up a new CF hood and having to buy another one.

I personally would definitely pay a body shop to do it as it's easy to cause cracks on CF hoods.

Good luck!
