I had wood trim. I painted it myself. I sanded it down with a 400 grit, then sprayed a total of 20 coats of glossy black paint, 20 coats of glossy clear coat. Throughout the process, I wet sanded with 2000 Grit sandpaper. It is very time consuming. To get a real good finish, you have to spray the clear coat at a certain distance.

If it's too close, it will drip. If its too far, it wont look smooth (smooth to the touch though). Also, you have to do this in a clean room or all the small particles flying around will catch onto the wet paint. I had no other place but to do this in my garage, in a box.



And for anyone interested in the "transformer" button. I just went online looking for the logo (mines the Autobot), shrinked it, cut it, then glued it. LOL

I had to slightly smudge some ink on the paper to darken it because it was way too white and stood out too much.
