Default Carbonio cai???

i have heard mixed reviews on this intake, from "totally awesome, worth every penny" all the way down to "biggest waste of money ever!!!" i was wondering if any of you guys had experience with this intake system? APR is having their spring sale, so if i got it, i would get it sometime soon before the sale ends.

ps. my only engine mod right now is APR 93 octane chip. thanks!

its worthless except for looks... the newer carbonio is just a metal box with a cf cover... they used to at least be completely carbon fiber which helped explain the price... evoms is cheaper and gets you that dv sound, but the boxmod does just fine too...

i've only seen a few people buy it but they all had to trim a little here and there to fit it perfectly. it's good if you want to keep your engine looking stock and CFed out, otherwise, don't waste the money. also you can CF the piece yourself if you take the time

just cut some holes in the bottom of your box and add in a better filter. Spending more is just a waste of money.

Unless you can find it for under $200, do the airbox mod

yea they are all overpriced for what they are.. K&N cone setup i picked up for 70.. got the nice DV soundoff and you can hear that thing sucking air from 10Inhg all the way thru boost.. Carbonio is prolly a waste of money unless your keepin the bay CF, or like hiwords said you could do the CF yourself if you wanted..

I have the Carbonio intake and yes they are overpriced but if you don't mind spending the money, go for it ... I love it, work great, look great and I could feel the car brething way better when I installed it ... since I have a High flow cat, downpipe, custom 2.75'' exhaust and Forge hybrid DV, I think it was a good mod ... I know there is some cheapest way to get to the same result but when you are aware of the overpriced and willing to pay, it's worth every penny. Just my opinion.

I've got the evoms intake. I'd suggest you DIY a cone intake.
