brakes (with pics) :/
So, bought an a4. When I did my inspection I looked at the rear brake and took my key to see if they were smooth; they looked great. The front I really didnt look, but just took my key to them. The other day I was doing something and looked at the front brakes and noticed this...

They were for some reason falling apart. The car has no rust and the under carriage is clean as can be. But installed new pad and rotors soon as I saw this. For some reason the brake light is on (I think that is what is showing on the worn lcd screen), so going to take apart the rears I guess and install some new pads.
Just thought I share...

"took my key to see if they were smooth" ???
The front brakes will wear much quicker than the rears for obvious reasons. Also, most cars only have sensors in the front so its likely that the indicator would be signaled from there.

I drove the car for a few miles and they brakes were to hot to touch.... key was better choice than my finger to check for grooves. Yah, no sensor in the back after searching. Don't know why the indicator is still on (i think its the symbol for brake wear). The lcd is to hard to see really anything. Since its so hard to see what the darn symbols are (nearly impossible) i though it was just the regular 'ok symbol' but every now and then it beeps at me. The pads that i took off are in good shape, and 120k.
