Ok guys I was just wondering if anyone has directley gone to AWE tuning instead of sending your ecu to them to get it flashed. Theres one located in willows PA and was wondering if anyone in the surrounding areas has gone straight there. I also was wondering when I get the ecu flashed with the GIAC software should I get a FMIC since I'll be running higher boost. I guess this is what im purchasing with my $1500 budget:

-GIAC Software Flash
-Test Pipe
-DV
-Custom exhaust (need help, looking for one as close to stock as possible with sound and look)
-Boost gauge

Should I also get a tune? I didnt know if it was necessary since im not doing a big power upgrade. I appreciate all your guys help, I cant wait for SPRING!!!

 

if your not going to go BT, then you just need the one program. FMIC really doesn't help a whole lot until you upgrade your turbo.

you can get your car flashed if you have a 2001+, otherwise they have to go through the ecu. you can still drive there, take out the chip and have them chip it. I wouldn't mail my ecu to anyone, but thats just my opinion.

also, read the newbie guide, it has a ton of exhaust setups and sounds.

 

AWE will do GAIC. IF you want APR there is a place about 50 miles into PA. Sorry cant remember the name off the top of my head.

At either place, set up an appointment and they will have you out the door in an hour.

 

Do yourself a favor and make an appointment at AWE Tuning in Willow Grove; definitely a worthwiletrip! Have them show you around the shop at some of their project cars as well; you'll walk out of there wiping the drool from your mouth. Definitely an awesome experience!
