central lock switch on driver door???
Has anyone had this problem, my power locks work when I use the remote, but when I try to lock the doors using the central lock switch (with the drivers door open) on the drivers door all the doors lock except the drivers door.

Yeah theres a mechanical switch that prevents that from happening so that you dont lock your keys in the car (if you try and push the plunger down physically, you cant). If you really wanted to be able to use that rocker to lock the car (the alarm wouldnt activate then), im sure you could take the door panel off and disable it somehow.

I don't have the key in the ignition. How do you lock the car if you do not have the key? Lets say the car is parked in the driveway and the keys are in the house, I would think I should be able to lock the car with out going in the house to get the keys.

haha, well i guess if you want to lock the car without the key, you get in passenger door and reach over.. I think only preventing when the key is in the ignition makes more sense, but then again someone could leave their key on the seat. I would be fine with not having it at all, but i always lock with my remote so i dont really care.
