the temp gage is buried on Cold no matter how long I drive it. I've been driving it on a short commute to work and back because I haven't had time to fix it, but it usually stays buried on cold, but sometimes it will jump up to the mid-point where it normal sits, but it never overheats. Seems to be getting poor gas mileage too, so I'm assuming I have a thermostat that has failed, and luckily it's failed in the open position. Am I wrong?

Was gonna try and knock this out myself, any suggestions. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but I don't do this **** for a living. Can I pull this off?
