hold on, you bought two turbos without knowing which one you planned to install and don't know what kind of tune to run on either one? a little research may have served you better than impulse buying. if you're telling the truth (I'm quite tempted to throw the bullshit flag on this one), look here for the information you need:

https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-models-69/1-8t-turbo-upgrade-information-93439/

if that fails, look here: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/search.php

Haha, have you done any engine work? Without atleast rods with that gt35r ur gonna do some major damage. Unitronics makes a good tune for BT setups. Its expensive but if u bought both those turbos then u should have the money for the tune. And its not a chip computer its your ecu and you send it to whatever vendor you choose to use and they flash their tune on there.

im going to officially call bullshit. however if someone just "gave" them to you - those turbos will be unusable on your car. they can technicly be made to fit but with 1.8 liters driving them your not going to hit full boost untill like 6k-6.5k rpms. stock- your engine only revs to 7000. not to mention it will grenade the first time you try to see that power. if somehow your engine magically doesnt explode, you have a 500rpm powerband before bouncing off the rev limiter. good game.

Tapp/eurodyne should have a 1000cc file that will allow you to run either turbo to their fullest. You will also need some rods at the min. to allow the engine to hold the power. Lastly, upgrades springs would also be advised if you want to rev out far enough to take full usage of the 35r.

BTW, you should just give me the 3082r

You really need to stop posting things you have 0 idea about. The 35r with a .63 housing will make 20+ psi by 4700-4800rpms on a stock displacement engine. WIth a .82 housing, its more like 5300. Also the stock head is perfectly fine to rev to 7500rpms and even pushed to 8k if needed. Just because there is a stock limit, doesnt mean thats the actual limit. If that was the case, we all would be still running under 1bar on the stock turbo

Not everyone running a 35 is stroked. Like cincy said, it comes in mid 4k's with the .63 and it seems like that's obviously too early for some since .88 is the most popular.

And you'll need a lot more fine tuning the the out-the-box deal that Chris Tapp provides, don't get me wrong its a reputable 750+ tune, but to run a 35 on it will be choppy I think. A 3082 is better suited but either way, this would NEVER be completed within a week. Not even a month.

well i will take whatever turbo you dont use so as not to see one go to waste.

and as for a chip look at hausofdub.com. they chip and may even be able to get a setup worked out for you. they are a little busy at this moment (they are swapping a 4.2 V8 into a stock 3.6 V8. and they have to put a 6 cylinder back into a B5 passat) but just tell andy that Ben sent you

Its an .82 housing. And not to many 1.8t's run them because they add another 500rpms of lag and we dont rev high enough to take advantage of these since most dont want to build the head

If he has a 01, he should be alright since the wbo2 tunes can adjust far better than the nb02 tunes. Either way, its a great tune. Plus he can always get a standalone for about $1500 and have it tuned for another $500-1k
