Default Which chip would be better for my car?

Hey guys so I have been doing research on which chip to get between APR and GIAC. I think I want to go with GIAC, but my car is not stock. I have a T3/T4 T70 turbo with a 3 inch U-band and an anti surge compressor, Long Turbo manifold with external 38mm waste gate, turbo down pipe, FMIC, greddy bov, CAI, bigger fuel injectors (not sure which one were put in), and a custom exhaust. So the question is which chip would be better to support all the mods I have.

All info is much appreciated,
Thanks

well, the best option would be to do a little leg work or search for the answer. Contact both companies and see what they can do for you and for what price. Theres also a wealth of information about chip tunes on this site that you can search through. Happy hunting

You can also go for dyno tuning, this is the best solution as it is specifically tuned to what you car has and can handle however this can cost a lot more than a chip.

i hope your not talking about stage 1 files, but i think you are. apr only sells their stage 1 tune sepreately. to get there stage 3 tune you need to buy the whole kit, or at least by a used ecu with apr on it. as as stated, the best option is a custom tune. not to mention if you dont even know which injectors were put in, you wont know which tune to run. the ecu will not adapt to larger injectors well(or smaller for that matter). if you want an off the shelf stage 3 tune, which should be a secondary option, you have a lot more (and better) choices than apr and giac

Who put all this **** on the car? I also don't understand "T3/T4 T70 turbo." Does that mean a T3/T4 flanged hot side with a .70 A/R compressor housing? How big are the wheels? That sounds ******* massive to me. Is your car actually running with a big *** turbo and larger injectors on a stock tune?

Yep the guy I bought the car from put it on. Yes T3/T4 flanged hot side and a .70 A/R. The wheels are stock... It is massive and that is why I need a tune badly. I've decided to get a dyno tune the only problem is I can not find one in Minnesota. Does anyone know one in Minnesota by chance?

theres no such thing as a t3/t4 hotside flange. its either t3, which is like a rectangle, and t4 which is more squarish and always divided. you have a t3 falnge. what they mean by t3/t4 is a t3 turbine wheel with a t4 compressor wheel. i hope you read my post, and if you would've youd notice i myself am from minnesota. and in fact, i have had my car dyno tuned in minnesota. i got mine down at map, modern automotive performance, in the cities. the other one i know of with a four wheel dyno is DB performance. the guy who tuned my car at MAP is good, but my car runs very rich. it is definately a safe tune. he is pretty good. i dont know how the guys at db performance are, but i might try them out next time. where are you from in minnesota?

Ok that makes more sense now. The guy that explained it to me made it sound different. Huh thats weird cause just yesterday I called both DB performance and MAP and both said they would not tune my car. I am from Duluth, but I live in St. Cloud at the moment. I go to SCSU. The only place I found that would tune it was further performance but they don't have a dyno.

T70 on a 1.8t? Can I make an honest suggestion? I would sell off all that stuff and go with a smaller turbo. That things not gonna hit full boost until at LEAST 5000rpm

st cloud huh? seeing as how i am from sauk rapids and an scsu graduate i could help another guy out. if you want, pm me and i'll give you my phone number. i could stop by tomorrow and check it out and give you an honest opinion on what your dealing with. that is, if the car is located in st. cloud. i dont think i'd want to drive all the way up to duluth
