Default cig lighter...additional 12v source?

so, i've noticed in my 01 1.8 that the cig lighter is "stubby" is there another adapter somewhere that i haven't found that i can use for in car electronics like a gps or headrest monitor that require the cig lighter style power? maybe an aftermarket adapter?

The stock cig lighter is a bit more shallow than the plugs on most of the crap you can get that plug into it (GPS, phone chargers, etc.) I usually just fiddle with it until it sits in there right.

If you're really into it, you can buy generic cig lighters from Autozone and wire them in yourself, wherever you might need the power. However, if you're gonna go that route you might as well hard wire whatever you want to plug in.

Correct me if i'm wrong guys, but I think there's a 12v source that you can use for the headrest monitors in the opening behind the center armrest, next to the back seat ash tray. Like i said, you'd have to wire in your own cig lighter.
