Default Clunk. Yes ive searched :)

Ok, so this is driving me crazy, and before I go and spend 300 bucks or more on a control arm kit I wanted your guys opinion. I tried the whole jack up one side and wigggle but there is absolutely no noise. It makes a reverberating clunk (meaning it goes clunk-k-k-k) when i hit a speedbump. It sounds like its coming from the right front. Also, when I shift hard or let off the gas after going WOT, it makes a very similar clunk or knack sound. I have replaced the snub mount but nothing changed.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

It's your ball joint, just replace your lower control arm on the front right side and the noise will go away. contact MPLSchase@gmail.com, he'll send you a used one for $55 shipped.

If one is going bad, chances are they are all going to go bad soon. Get a whole set and save some money instead of buying them one at a time. I got mine through FCP Groton (Ebay) - they carry good quality German Febi and other name brand components.

it could be just a loose inner brake pad.

On my A4 I had that to but I replaced them all and it still didn't go away. I'm pretty sure it was the shocks going out.

+1 - a worn strut will do that.
