low compression would cause misfires but you seem to have found the problem. autolite plugs arent fantastic but i never heard of them causing this much problem. where they properly gapped to around 0.030"?

I've had issues with damn autolites but from what ghost says it sounds like they were not gapped correctly or they were **** from the start and wouldn't last anyhow.
