there are only a handful of threads regarding clutch fluid and none of them have what i'm looking for. i just bought 2 liters of Pentosin Super DOT4 and want to do a complete drain and fill of the brake fluid (i just installed new pads and rotors at all 4 corners, and need to replace the 2 front brake hoses that are cracked). this car being the first i've worked on that has a shared reservoir for the brake and clutch system, is there anything i need to do with the clutch fluid? should i drain it and put in new fluid as well? im worried that if i dont, can the old fluid in the clutch mix with the new fluid that im putting in the brakes?

i know it shouldnt matter that much, but if im spending the time/money to put in new fluid and bleed the system etc., i want to either get both the brakes and clutch feeling/performing better, or at the very least ensure that the brakes will not get progressively worse as old fluid from the clutch system mixes in

 

Bleeding the clutch slave cylinder would be an insane pain in the ***. Apparently the dealer uses an automatic thing that does it from the clucth master cyl. Unless you suspect air in your hydraulics, don't worry about that. The old can mix with the new.
