Cone filter

Default Cone filter

If i were to do the cone filter mod where would i place this sensor at?

The one in red?

Most people take the heat sink out of the airbox, put the sensor back together and then just zip tie it someplace out of the way.

This guy got fancy and mounted it on a piece of strap aluminum he used to support the filter, you can see it just below the actual filter element:


Another shitty pic but you can see the guy zip tied the thing out of the way on the very left edge of the pic:


Found a few more shitty ones but you get the idea

It controls your coil packs.

Yeah man its really not a huge deal where you put it, the important part is that you get the piece of it thats attached to the top of the air box and stick them back together. As long as it's together you can pretty much put it anyplace as long as you keep it away from the exhaust mani on that side. Only other word of caution: be gentle. When I first bought my car I changed the air filter and in the process was apparently rough enough with the top of the air box that I angered the ICM and ended up having to replace it
