yea weight is the only difference in that retrospect and I'm pretty sure the coils are not 1.8 vs 2.8 specific because its its own stiffness if that makes sense.

The wagon is actually 1/10th of an inch shorter than the sedan, just the extra tin and glass adds about a hundred pounds that "requires" a different spring rate. I'm running Neuspeed race springs for a B5 sedan. The rear subframe is exactly the same.

Bigger deal with springs than coilovers since you can adjust dampening and ride height

so with coils sedan and avant can be interchanged. Good to kno, i figured audi wouldn't completely redesign the whole rear suspension.

Nevermind I put in my car 1.8t info etc and went to suspension and the exact same coilover kit came up. You have a pm Jon.

they are definently adjustable.

Out of curiosity assuming nothings too stuck from days of pb blasting, how long should this take a mechanically inclined individual with the correct tools?

~4 hours no more than a day for sure
impacts and power tools speed things up a lot

Yea i got an impact gun. I dont have a ball joint puller though is it necessary? I can probably rent one from advance auto if necessary right?

i didn't need one for mine, they all pushed out or got pushed out with an air hammer.
