Well, I believe the 2wd has a solid rear end, might be wrong, so there would be alot of fabbing up to make it work. The transmission is gonna need to be different because it is also the 'transfer case'. And, the computer controls the Awd system, so would most likely need a new Awd computer as well. If you can find a wrecked one, thats the only way you can get all that stuff cheep. I say sell it, and you could almost buy an all wheel drive for what you sell the 2wd for.

Which direction does your motor sit? if it's transverse then it will cost twice as much as the car is worth.

all 1.8T a4's are longitude setup, do you have the 1.8T or the 2.8 V6?

Quattro is purely mechanical. Its not controlled by the ecu at all. Youd be way better off selling the car for a quattro model though. The gas tank and everything is different including the suspension, fuel lines, and exhaust and a lot more.

You'll put more money into a swap like that than the car is worth or at least very close to it. Are you opposed to selling it?
