Default Coolant flange replacement question

I was just wondering if someone could tell me how much coolant would leak out if I didn't drain the coolant first. If it's not that much, then I won't bother draining it because I have some in a bottle to replace a small amount. Thanks.

If its the flange at the back of the cylinder head with the temp sensor in it, I lost about a pint to a quart maybe? I know it wasn't enough to warrent draining the system.

It's going to make a mess either way...

Be extra extra careful when reinstalling as to not snap one of the two bolts off in the head (guilty), and I would recommend some RTV to help make sure it seals good, or else it will leak.
