Default coolant flush question

so I went to autozone today to pick up some g1, but they said they didnt have any and that i could only get it from audi. they said that now they make a yellow coolant that can be used with any type of coolant. So I bought it. I am flushing my coolant tomorrow morning, and just before i use this "All purpose" coolant, I just wanted to make sure that the Autozone guy tell me any bs.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I wouldn't trust em, why take a chance with somethin like the coolant? Just go to a dealership and get the right stuff, it's not worth saving a few bucks if the advanced auto parts guy just bsed you into buying a product.

all purpose coolant is garbage. prestone and peak and anything else that claims it can be mixed with anything is false advertising. only use G12, if you cant get that- Dexcool or Zerex should be ok. they are not as good as G12 but they are ok. and NEVER mix coolant. if you want to run something other then G12 flush the whole system out completely.

Based on my past experience with people that work on auto parts stores. I WOULD NOT 100% TRUST THEM. Audi recommend ONLY G12 and distilled water.
If you really want I'll ship you some G12 coolant

napa has g12 for 15 a liter, the dealer probably better at 25 for a gallon (5 liters).

I'm not from the states but.. unless you have some weird alien cars which requires a special formula of imported indian spices in order to ciculate the tubes..
Glycol mixed with water, ratio according to how cold it is? Does it need to be more fancy than that? Water and antifreeze..

You know, I'd rather be safe than sorry in the longer run. Audi says use only G12.
