Did you have a special warranty or does everybody have up to a 100k warranty?

 

just curious, i had the same problem but my temp sensor burst out from the housing. They just replaced that and everything was fine. Should I be considering changing out the flange? I hears upwards of 700 from dealership to change?!

 

if you have a warranty you need to check your specific warranty to see if its covered. everyone does not have a standard 100k mile warranty. you dont need to change the flange unless theres a problem with it.

 

is the coolant flange located under the coolant sensor? i have a coolant leak in my 1.8, whenever the thermostat opens to let coolant through it kind of sprays out from underneath that sensor. thanks
