heh heh, sorry to chuckle....12 people told you not to use it, you used it anyway and MAF went bad, you put new MAF and are using it again

PS...it comes oiled out of the box...

Oh no, I used it, then MAF went bad, then I complain, 12 people said it's crap don't use it. Now I'm using it again, hahaha! FTW.

It's pretty divided, about 50/50 are for and against.

Ugh...just don't use it. There's plenty of other brands that won't mess it up so why chance. BTW, I have a Greddy Type S BOV that I use on my car and it work's great too. I recirced it, but you can use a BOV.

It is my understanding that if you clean it and don't re-oil, it is useless for filtration. :idk: If you do re-oil, I can tell you, it doesn't take much. If you start to see little droplets of oil forming on the fabric, you've over done it.

I am neither for or against K&N, I know there are other good brands out there. I do like that it is "lifetime" and the cleaning intervals are long. I only know from personal experience that I've had no issues through 2 german cars.

I had the K&N throw my MAF sensor bad in 3 weeks. I cleaned it and bought a new bosch maf sensor. had it in there two months. no problems. I know its stupid to keep using it. But i honestly think im fine. I even tried cleaning the old one with electronics cleaner and it still didnt help. And i honestly didnt see a sign of a oily residue on it anywhere. But i honestly would never get a K&N over again.
