all new audi's with quattro have a 40/60 fromt/rear bias with i believe up to 80 or 90% possible to go either way

you know how quattro is all mechanical? wut if you could somehow make it electronic so you could change the power bias like the evo? lol just another one of my crazy thoughts

My 98 v6q will understeer at or abovethe limit no matter what the surface(snow, water or dry). If I come in a little slower with the power off the car willoversteer, a little steering into the turn and lot of power immediately after turning the wheel will give me a nice power oversteer slide. The car is nose heavy so it will normally understeer as it comes from the factory which mine is. Just withthe power off when entering the turnshouldcause the car to understeer. Only once have I been able to touch the throttle gentlywhen understeering and had thefront come back to me and that just happened to evenout the forcesfront to rear to straighten out the slide. I feel that if you have a lot of oversteeras it sounds like you probably have a problem with your suspension as the upper post mentions. Oversteer is not normal with these cars aswith most cars thesedays. Theydesigned withundersteer for safety as most drivers do not handle that condition very well. They tend to spin thecar and crash. I wish I could get my car to oversteer like that... the only time I can get the *** end out is when I brake hard while turning. Maybe the previous owner installed aftermarket swaybars?

actually, just yesterday we had some extremely heavy storms move through Cincinnati, so being the Quattro owner that I am, I went for a drive. Leaving an intersection coming off the highway, I had the car way sideways through first and part of second gear, hella fun. It was about 11:00pm and raining like hell, so nobody was out. otherwise, I keep it PG-13. Causing understeer and oversteer at any given speed is all about weight transfer, period. I can make my car understeer and oversteer almost on command, although it favors understeering.
