Yes under normal conditions B5s have a constant 50/50 distribution of power to the front and the rear. It is adaptive and when a wheel starts to loose traction, it will put extra power to that wheel.

I got rolled up on by a cop tonight while I was attempting to pee, saying he was responding to a truck and a car racing, and drifting. He then saw the marks from outer wear on my tire and accused me of drifting.

I laughed and told him I had an auto quattro, and I couldn't do burnouts. He gave me **** about my front mount and insisted I was lying. Awesome. At least our cars look like awesome drift cars.
