cruise control problem fixed! find out how within
oook well i was having problems with my cruise control not ever working (maybe once a month) so i just decided to give this DIY a shot, not even really thinking it would work for some reason...

so i went out and bought a $5.88 30w solder pen at wal mart and i already had a thing of solder so i just heated the circled posts and tossed a tiny tiny dab on top of each one (i have no prior experience with this) and went out for a test drive, and tried my cruise control 3 different times and it worked all three times!!!!
lol best $5.88 i have ever spent
thats my audimod of the day

Yeah, all those problems are usually from old and cracked solder joints. I saw that tech article and tried to use a soldering iron, but I couldn't get the contacts under the coated portion of the board to heat up. So i searched around and saw a couple of guys that had success with mini butane torches. I happened to have a grill lighter that always burned torch-like, so I used that. It wasn't real hot, so I slowly went around the whole board heating all the solder joints(why not get 'em all while you're in there) just until they sizzled a little, and my CC's been working great ever since.
This was after cleaning the stalk switch, which is known to get gunky, and checking the pedal switches and vacuum lines.
