Default Cv boot qoute

So on my way out to Portland International Raceway last night I notice some clunking from my left front wheel. Its steady and constant and annoying clunking upon deceleration or just coasting. When I hit the gas and accelerate it goes away. So I believe its a bad cv boot right? Im kinda screwed right now as I dont have any tools and now its the weekend and most places aren't open. So can anyone tell me what they paid to have the boot repaired.

Well im deciding to do it on my own. So im ordering a whole new cv axle from ecs for 130. My only question which is probably very easily answered is this. when a website is referring to the left side of a vehicle is that the drivers side or the passenger side. Becuase the bad boot/joint is on the drivers side and I dont know if i need to order a left side axle or right becuase it doesnt specify which is left or right.

The sides of a car are looked at as if you were sitting in the drivers seat. There fore right would be passenger side and left would be drivers side. Its as simple as that.

Good Luck...
