CV joint grease choice
I visited the audi dealership today to pick up some seals to service while doing my clutch replacement, I cleaned off my entire transmission as well which included cleaning off the axel grease at the connection points. I avoided the $23 120g thing of cv joint grease that they tried to sell me, so my question is; is it any kind of special grease? I've got some valvoline mutli-purpose grease that says it's for susension and universal joints(the regular stuff, not the dura blend or synpower grease) and is NLGI #2 grease good to 375F and I've also got some walmart supertech stuff that says it has a drop point of 500F.
wondering if I can use either and if so which would be better.
