i just got a 1997 a4 1.8t with 125k miles on it and ive only had it for a week and a half and the check engine light came on yesterday. my buddy came over with vag-com and we found out cylinder 2 was misfiring. so we switched the coil packs to see if that changed anything and it didnt, so we switched the spark plugs and that fixed it...for a day. now today the light came back on while i was on my way to get new spark plugs, so i got the new ones (they were cheap ones just to get me over to black forest to get some nice ones) but they didnt fix the misfire. i do have a leaky valve cover gasket which i have a new one i just havent replaced it yet, could that be causing the misfire? any help is greatly appreciated!
