I am going to purchase a HID kit from DDM and was wondering what your guys thought. I did some searching but still managed to have a few straight forward questions. Just would like to know what you guys prefer the 55w or 35w. I am going to leave the fogs stock halogen for now. Also I need to know if I need the error code eliminator wires for a 2001 A4. Car came with halogens not HIDs if that matters. Thank you in advance.

 

Doesn't matter what the car came with to my knowledge. I'd go with 55w. That's what I have and it works great.

Thanks man. What did you go with 8K? id like a slightly blue tint

 

I got 6000K from VVME (55W) and I'm pleased. Just enough hint of blue to look good without looking like I'm trying to fake it.

 

I went with 5k, not a huge fan of the blue tint, 5k is just at the edge of pure white/slight blue. It works for me!

 

Is their a difference between the slim kit and the regulars?

 

The size of the ballast is the only difference I believe. Go with slim, that's what I have.

 

im going to get some 55w. i hear the 35s are really only for like little housings (fogs) get the 55s they will be brighter.
