Can anyone give me a clue where to look? i have the code and unlock the stereo on my 1998 a4 and it works fine. the problem is that when i turn off the car and turn it back on it resets to safe mode again. Whats going on???? also my stereo only gets to radio stations can anyone tell me where the antenna is or what to do with any or both of these problems. thnks!!!

 

sounds to me like a bad ground. if you're electrically inclined, tear it out and poke around inside.otherwise take it to a stereo shop and see if they'll do it for you
