why does my 01 2.8q sound like a diesel??????

well i bought the car a year ago....and its had this sound for quite awhile now...like 10 months or even when i bought the car i forget! but it sounds like a deisel like when i just have my car sitting there running il have people even ask me...is that diesel?

 

im really not sure. it is most likely exhaust related. i would get an exhaust place(muffler shop) to put it up on a lift and see if they see anything wierd. i mean our cars arent really quiet even when they are stock. you might just not be used to it
