idk how the plate would perform while hitting a bump(/hole or w/e) at 60mph but I'm sure it would help some...

My plate has gotten smashed and scratched up a good amount of times (one while going ~65 on the highway and hitting a patch in the road hard) and still looks and acts new.

I know a few people that have had this happen, all of them bottomed out very hard or ran over something that was very large.

Not only would you be replacing the pan you would also be replacing a $250 metal skid plate.


I have been driving lowered cars for 25 years and been driving my lowered A4 without a skid plate for about 8 years.

LOL. I just need one that is very thin to catch oil. Hell I should make a mock up of one and then have it made in CF.

and the sticker only needs to stay on for 1 event.

oops my bad! lol

but hey at least it looks cooler than the plastic one right? haha and it'll prob last longer too, mine is all ripped up from the snow last winter
