Default Different IC question

i was wondering first off, what metal is the IC made of? i have a godspeed one if that makes a difference. and i also wanted to know if i can use a scuff pad to take the shiny finish off the IC, cause i feel like when i put it on the car its gunna look black cause it looks like it will reflect the inside of the bumper. if i did this would it remove some sort of protective finish? i dont wanna compramise the quality of the IC so if this sounds like a bad idea i wont do it, but i figured while its sitting in my room i might as well make it look how i want it.

Its probably aluminum. Off hand, i cant think of any reason scuffing it would hurt anything.

all intercoolers are made from aluminum. scuffing it won't make a big difference. if you want it to stand out, then paint it pink[8D]

don't scuff it, just install it the way it is, I have yet to see anyone with intercooler contrast issues...lol

pink would be one of a king though!

gl!

Scuffing is pointless just install as is. I plan on painting my FMIC black when I get it. I love that stealth look with blue couplers so everyone knows whats up, lol.

i doubt it'll reflect the black of your car. you could always paint it with radiator paint or a thinned down no gloss enamel. i painted R3VO 3VOM on mine.
